Fifth in our series of videos supporting inclusive language and attitude in our school, this installment by our grade 6 students is not to be missed. We think this will inspire others to be vigilant about bully-language in general and anti-homophobia in particular.

We never talked about homophobia in my old school Earl Beatty. I believe other people have been coalling kids "gay" in a bad way. They have to stop!
I think this video is an important message and interesting to hear.
What I found different was they didn't say which kind of gay.The actors did great work in acting.
I thought that this would be a video that told us why it's not good to be using the word gay as a put down.
I find it interesting that many people use the word gay thinking that it doesn't hurt others but I find it very offensive.
I think that the people who use the word gay in a rude way should understand how the person who they say it to feels and that they shouldn't use in a rude way.
I think the actors did a great job of acting and telling us why it's not cool to say gay.
Thank you to Room 25 for this important message and video. It makes me very sad to hear the word gay being used in a derogatory way to put people or things down in our school. Keep up the excellent work, Room 25! I am, as always, very proud of you.

Well done, Room 25! I'd like to show your well-acted public service announcement to my students at Queen Victoria. They can learn something from you and your wonderful efforts to put a stop to homophobia.
